Bhutan’s landscape ranges from subtropical plains in the south to the sub-alpine Himalayan heights in the north, where some peaks exceed 7,000 metres (23,000 ft). Its total area was reported as approximately 46,500 km2.

Product Description

6 Nights – 7 Days

2 nights at Thimphu, 2 nights at Wangdue / Punakha, 2 nights at  Paro

Day 1 : Paro Airport – Thimphu (65 kms/ 2 hrs)
Meet & Greet on arrival at Paro Airport and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay will be at Thimphu

Day 2  : Thimphu Sightseeing

After breakfast visit King’s Memorial Chorten (Monument), Changangkha Monastery, National Zoo (Contains National Animal Takin), National Library, BBS Tower, Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum, School of Arts and Crafts, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, Traditional Paper Factory (made from Daphne plant). Overnight stay will be at Thimphu

Day 3 : Thimphu – Punakha/ Wangdue (77 kms/ 3 hrs) Sightseeing
After breakfast drive to Punakha/ Wangdue Phodrang (4,300 ft.), via Dochu-La-Pass (10,170 ft.). Continue towards Punakha visit Chimi Lhakhang – The Temple of Fertility built in 15th century. Also visit Punakha Dzong. On arrival check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Punakha
Day 4 : Excursion to Gangtey
After breakfast visit Wangdue Dzong & start for full day excursion to Gangtey (9,840 ft.). Gangtey is the home of Black Necked Crane which migrates from the arid plains of Tibet in the north. It is a beautiful valley of Bhutan. You can visit Gangtey Gompha. Afternoon return back to Punakha. Overnight stay will be at Punakha
Day 5: Punakha/ Wangdue – Paro (140 kms / 5 hrs) Sightseeing
After breakfast transfer to Paro (7,483 ft.). On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong – National Museum with an excellent collection of Bhutanese antiquities. Rinpung Dzong – the administrative seat of the district of Paro. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Paro
Day 6 : Paro Sightseeing
After breakfast visit Drukgyel Dzong. Also visit famous Taktsang Monastery – called “Tiger’s Nest” (2hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu Monastery. Overnight stay will be at Paro

Day 7 : Paro Airport
After breakfast check out from hotel and drop at Paro Airport for your onward journey
