Kerala is situated on the southwestern coast of India, a country in South Asia. Kalaripayattu is an Indian martial art which originated in the state of Kerala. It is considered to be the oldest fighting system in existence. It is now practiced in Kerala, in contiguous parts of Tamil Nadu and among the Malayali community of Malaysia. It was originally practiced in northern and central parts of Kerala and theTulunadu region of Karnataka.

Day 01: Cochin:

Arrive at Cochin, check in at the hotel. Afternoon proceed for half day sightseeing, Evening back to the Hotel and Overnight.

Sightseeing: Visit the Dutch Palace-built by the Portuguese in 1557 and subsequently renovated by the Dutch after 1663. The murals are perhaps the best in India. Jewish Synagogue – built in 1568 and the oldest Synagogue in the Commonwealth are at Mattancherry. St. Francis Church – built in 1510 and the oldest European church in India, Chinese Fishing Nets- introduced by the court of Kublai Khan can be seen in Fort Cochin. Fort Cochin Beach etc.

Day 02: Cochin – Munnar (145kms – 4hrs 30mins)

After breakfast Proceed to Munnar its 1800 mts above sea level and also the place of South India’s highest peak (Anamudi – 2695 mts), On the way Sightseeing, Check Into the Hotel, Overnight Stay at the Hotel. Sightseeing: Visit Valara, Cheeyappara waterfalls & Tea Plantations.

Day 03: Munnar

After breakfast Proceed for Sightseeing – Shopping & Overnight Stay at Munnar. Sightseeing: Visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park – open as per the directions by the forest authorities), the best place to see Nilgiri Tahr (Hermitragus Hilarious) – the mountain goat of South India & Tea Museum, Maduppatty dam ,Echo Point, Kundalay Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, Blossom Park etc are some of the highlights of the sightseeing.

Day 04: Munnar-Thekkady: (110kms – 4hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Thekkady. It’s a world famous wildlife sanctuary and it is also called as Periyar. Sightseeing & Overnight Stay at Thekkedy.

Sightseeing: Thekkedy has large variety of wildlife, which has Elephants, Monkeys, Deer, and Wild Boar. Sightseeing Elephant ride (Optional) at Periyar wild life and rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 05: Thekkady – Kumarakom:

After breakfast proceed to Kumarakom; check In to the hotel, Proceed for sightseeing. Overnight Stay at Kumarakom.

Sightseeing: Visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary. Later explore the rest of the day at your own leisure by watching the Vembanad Lake which has its majestic canals, streams and distributaries along its banks weave an intricate and enchantingly beautiful web.

Day 06: Kumarakom – Alleppey: (170kms – 5hrs)

After breakfast proceed to Alleppey. Arrive and check in at the Hotel. Move in and around Alleppey. Overnight stay at the Alleppey.

Sightseeing: Alappuzha Beach, Kuttanad, Champakulam Church and the Backwater Cruise (own cost). Alappuzha Beach: With Arabian Sea on the west and a vast network of lakes, lagoons and several freshwater rivers crossing it, Alappuzha Beach is full of natural beauty.

Day 07: Alleppey-Kovalam:

After breakfast proceed for Kovalam 175kms/6hours drive. Visit the Beautiful Kovalam Beach. O/N stay at the hotel.

Day 08: Kovalam:

After breakfast spend the entire day at the beach or can go to Kanyakumari. O/N stay at the hotel.

Day 09: Trivandrum:

Check out early in the morning and go for sightseeing of Trivandrum. After proceed for return journey.
